In a new book, FBI undercover agent Jack Garcia said that he was angered at how easy it was to get Hollywood police officers to act illegally. Agent Garcia, who has been involved in more than one hundred undercover operations, posed as a mafia member when he sought help from officers to protect shipments of drugs and stolen property. Four Hollywood police officers were arrested and sentenced to jail.
